was created from a deep love and commitment to a sentient I felt down on a particular day, an almost hopeless feeling came over me. Doom was very much a part of my spirit at this time. I got in my car and wound up in a shopping center. I just walked around, wishing this “Gloom” would pass. There was no apparent reason for my despair and depression. I was just divorced, (a friendly parting.) I moved back in with my parents, until I was clear about the direction I wanted to go in. A demonic force was surrounding me and I didn’t know why. I walked, looking at all the store fronts but actually seeing nothing Until I noticed a pet shop... I always liked dogs, but they weren’t a part of my life until this day. I went in the Pet Shop. I looked at all the puppies as they ran up to the front the cage with a glimmer of hope in their eyes. They were all so cute. I walked the entire shop until I came upon a cage with a dog lying upside down. His ears hung through the bars of the cage. He just stayed in that position looking at me as he laid on his back. I studied him. He sat
up (right side up) and he studied me. We connected -We were immediate
Soul Mates. I couldn’t bring this dog home with me, because my Although my mood was uplifted, I now wanted this Gorgeous Basset, with the soulful eyes and velvety long ears. That night I had a dream that I went back to the Pet Shop. All of the other dogs were still there, but the Basset Hound was missing. His cage door was open; he was gone. When I awakened I realized I needed him much as he needed me. I went back to the Pet Shop. He was waiting for me. I brought him home. My parents also fell in love with him. Zakary Piedmont brought loyalty admiration, humor, no conditions or expectations and most of all he possessed eternal love. He filled my
hopelessness with inspiration and a strong desire to “Give Back”. He
brought out the passion in me; my zest for life and my utmost respect
for God’s Noble Creatures. |
